    • Teenage is the phase of life where adolescents face many emotional, hormonal as well as social environmental changes around them and sometimes become susceptible to these changes. They are many a times confused in relation to their choice of academic career, friends, college so on and so forth.
      They may also go through rough times due to family troubles, problems in school etc. which they don't want to share with their parents or teachers. They feel sad, angry or overwhelmed by what's been happening and need help sorting out their feelings and career, finding solutions to their problems to feel better and more confident. This is the time when an able counsellor can be of a great help.

      Some of the difficulties that students often raise include:
    • Problems with anxiety and stress; social anxiety;
    • Depression; loneliness;
    • Adjusting to a new culture; homesickness;
    • Problems with family, friends or intimate relationships;
    • Bereavement and loss;
    • Study problems, including difficulties with writing, speaking and putting things off (procrastination) and perfectionism;
    • Racism and harassment;
    • Coping with trauma; harassment;
    • Disability;
    • Feeling suicidal;
    • Eating disorders;
    • Addictions, including alcohol, drugs and gambling.
    • Deciding and selecting the best career options..

    • However the list may be endless as per the requirements of the students.

    • Employment problems are one of the leading causes of stress, anxiety, depression, physical health problems and relationship difficulties. If left unresolved for too long, these symptoms will not only impact negatively on work performance but will most likely also affect important relationships, physical and mental health as well as family life. If you are struggling with a work-related issue, then you may benefit from counselling.
      Counselling can help you dealing with various situations like :
    • Dealing with job dissatisfaction
    • Clarifying your skills, resources, interests and visions for your future
    • Considering career alternatives
    • Achieving a healthy work-life balance
    • Job related stress / how to cope with stress
    • Bullying in the workplace
    • Relationships in the workplace (manager, peers, subordinates)
    • Adjusting to changes in working practices
    • Coping with increased workload

    • A company’s success is largely dependent on the well being of the staff they employ. Over recent years, it has become increasingly apparent that more and more individuals are experiencing high levels of stress and conflict in the workplace. If not managed effectively, this can have detrimental effects on both the staff member and the company as a whole.
      Counselling is a confidential way to help individuals understand and talk about their issues at work. Counselling can help staff find the tools and skills that they need to access strengths and potential. It can also help staff identify weaknesses and the things that they can work on to perform better at work. Counselling provides tools to improve relationships, and resolve workplace conflict.
      Counselling also looks at any personal issues that may be affecting productivity and well being.

    • Family life can be a place of refuge and security but for some it is a source of pain and disappointment. Our families absorb many of the stresses and strains from the outside world – and the pressures can boil over. Sometimes a personal problem, particularly in an adolescent, can overwhelm a family and there seems to be no clear way forward. At other times changes within the family leave other members confused and angry or hurt. When a crisis or disappointment happens for one member the family group absorbs the impact.

    • Relationships between parents and adolescents can be volatile, funny, exhausting, embarrassing, and confusing for both sides. The Parent and Adolescent Counselling Service explores new and more effective ways for family members to communicate, and encourages both parents and young people to understand and consider their family members' needs.

    • Individual Counselling is aimed at helping you to cope with the ups and downs of everyday life, with stresses that can cause anxiety and depression; it’s about helping you to heal from the negative things that have happened such as losses, separation & divorce, family conflict, violence or abuse. Individual Counselling can assist in coping with stressful life situations, work problems, grief, emotional distress or relationship difficulties. Our professional, caring, supportive Master’s Level Counselling can help.
